REPRESENTING STUDENT-ATHLETES IN MORE THAN 20 DIFFERENT SPORTS
Hello! My name is Laura Barrow, and I am the Southwest Florida Area Director for College Prospects of America. I assist high school and jr. college athletes in Lee, Collier, Charlotte and surrounding Southwest Florida counties in obtaining maximum exposure to college sports programs throughout the United States, resulting in significant contacts from college coaches and ultimately, offers. I can be reached at LauraBarrow@cpoaswfl.com or you may call me at (239) 466-4355.
Regardless of your sport, in order to be recruited by college coaches, coaches must be aware of you and your abilities. With few exceptions, most sports programs do not have the recruiting budgets to actively scout out talent, at least not talent outside their respective state borders. College coaches who do attend club tournaments or elite camps are not there to scout out new talent - they are there to observe athletes they already know.
In order for an athlete to get the best college education at the best price and continue to participate in collegiate athletics, he or she needs to get noticed by several coaches, and not just a handful. And that is where College Prospects of America comes in! At College Prospects, we create written color profiles of the student athlete and then mail them to every college where the athlete can compete academically and athletically. We mail these profiles directly to the Head Coach of the athlete's particular sport, not the athletic department. These profiles are posted on our national website (see MALE ATHLETE and FEMALE ATHLETE databases linked above), with a complete profile of the student athlete available on a secure site accessible by college coaches. We also provide video editing and enhancement services, on-line streaming video, internet marketing, financial aid counseling, FAFSA form preparation and electronic filing, and unlimited guidance with respect to collegiate recruiting rules and regulations.
Based on your GPA and ACT/SAT scores, as well as your athletic ability and particular sport, we will send your profile to a vast number of colleges throughout the country (we have contacts with almost 2,000 U.S. colleges and universities, including junior colleges). The average profile is mailed to over 500 college coaches, with some athletes having profiles sent to over 1000 colleges.
The best time for student athletes to begin our program is during their sophomore and junior years, as most college coaches begin tracking prospective athletes in their sophomore and junior years. However, even if you are a senior, it is not too late. If you are not receiving phone calls from college coaches after July 1 prior to your senior year (or by May 1st of your junior year for D-1 football only), then you are not being actively recruited.
To learn more about how our program works, please complete the on-line form or email me at LauraBarrow@CPOASWFL.COM and I will contact you to set up a FREE, NO OBLIGATION meeting with you and your family. I will send you an informational video on the recruiting process and our company for you to review on your computer. Please also access our main CPOA website at www.cpoa.com or at the link above for more information about CPOA and the recruiting process.
If you live outside of Lee, Collier, and Charlotte Counties, please contact me. I or a CPOA representative near your home will contact you about our services.
